Vehicles meeting federal registration thresholds must obtain temporary registration authority before entering Oregon. In addition to IRP compliance, carriers operating at 26,000 pounds or more are subject to Oregon's Weight-Mile Tax system. Proper credentials ensure legal operation within the state.
